This article will go over all of the tips that will help you to successfully update your sensor's firmware
There are two ways you can go to the Sensor's firmware updating screen:
- You are prompted to update the firmware via a message pop-up. Click on the device name and you will be redirected to the firmware update page.
- Open your Boldr app > Click on your room > Go to Room Settings > Click on Sensor management
Things to check before updating:
- Make sure the sensor battery is not drained - open the top half with twisting motion, press black button one time. If the light comes on - the sensor battery is not drained.
- After pressing the button, make sure the sensor light is solid red, this means it is connected to your network. If the light keeps blinking for an extended period, please reset the sensor and associated devices and pair them to your network again. Now that we've established that the battery is not drained and the sensor is fully connected, we can continue with the firmware update!
Step 1
To begin your sensor firmware update, open your sensor in a twisting motion.
Step 2
Once opened, press the black button to wake the sensor up. After a few seconds of blinking, a solid red light should appear. If you don’t see any light, please replace the battery.
Step 3
After the solid red light appears, press the ‘Update Firmware’ button below. The firmware should start the update process and after 2-5 minutes the red light will begin to slowly blink.
Step 4
After pressing ‘Update Firmware’, please monitor that the sensor light is continuously on or slowly blinking. If the sensor light goes off during the process, please “wake up” the sensor by pressing the black button one time. The App will notify you once the firmware is successfully updated.
Note. Firmware updates can take between 4-7 minutes to complete!
Once the firmware is updated, you can continue enjoying using your Boldr app with updated functionality and stability.
