Introduction
VPN (Virtual Private Network) is a widely used 3rd party service to ensure an additional protection layer to consumer data. While you can use Boldr app with VPN enabled, it is advised that the VPN service should be turned off during the Boldr device pairing process. To achieve successful pairing, please follow the steps below.
Disable VPN during pairing
- Open Your VPN App: Open the VPN app you've installed from the app store.
- Find the Disconnect or Pause Button: Look for a 'Disconnect' or 'Pause' button on the app's main screen. The exact wording can vary depending on the app you're using. Some apps may offer a 'Pause' feature that temporarily disables the VPN connection for a set amount of time.
- Tap to Pause or Disconnect: Tap the 'Pause' or 'Disconnect' button. If you're pausing the service, you might need to select how long you want to pause the VPN.
- Pairing: Pair your Boldr devices via the Boldr app.
- Reconnect after pairing the Boldr devices: If you've paused the service, it should automatically reconnect once the pause duration expires. If you disconnected, you could manually reconnect by opening the app and tapping the 'Connect' button.
